[CHT] suspend-resume fails due to unrelated USB error #431
This is a no-name el-cheapo headless device, the only details I have are from the DMI string:
ZOTAC-XXXXXX-XX-CherryTrailFFD
not very useful, it it?
I have no idea if this USB issue is recent or not, there are a series of issues with sof-test that prevented the tests to run until now. This was the last problem I found, now all tests pass.
This issue happened again on CML_HEL_RT5682 in case check-suspend-resume-50.sh, in CI daily test ID1828 on 2021-01-26:
What happened there is actually a cascade of 3 USB errors and the one above is the second one. In general it's not worth looking past the first error.
Before this USB error, there was another, previous USB failure two test earlier during the check-kmod-load-unload.sh audio test. I think it's already reported in another bug, maybe #567?

Using unreliable USB devices seems like a total waste of time. How many more ignore_str until we understand this?

Thanks, can you be more specific than "CHT"?
Also: is this a recent kernel regression?

I think this is related to USB hub or card devices, because we never see this in PRC.
