Preparation for 3rd party module API - #5166

The interface will be common for all processing modules not just the codecs. So rename struct codec_interface to struct module_interface. Signed-off-by: Ranjani Sridharan <ranjani.sridharan@linux.intel.com>

@ranj063 looks good to me. There is a small doxygen warning. I might want to check that. Can you remind me, again, the final goal of 3rd party module feature. So, we want to provide a generic API for external 3rd party processing libraries right? I wonder how much can this fit any external modules. This was mostly shaped for Cadence processing libraries. |

Right, that is the intention and yes, it is not an exact fit at the moment and I plan to submit follow-up PR's that will change the current API and add extensions to serve this purpose. The final goal is to have an architecture that splits the API's into high-level module API and low-level comp API. The high-level API will be the modified and renamed codec-adapter interface to deal mainly with processing. The low-level comp API will deal with pipeline, cache, route and state management |
Rename all codec_* structures and functions with the module prefix. There is no functional change in any of the patches.
