Fixes return value of platform_timer_set and arch_timer_set functions.
Change was introduced for cAVS platforms, which accidentally broke
these functions for other platforms. The intention of this functions
is to return value of set ticks, so the timer scheduler can check
for delays.

Change looks good to me. If you have nothing against I would suggest adding the Fixes tag.
Fixes tag is described here:

https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.17/process/submitting-patches.html#using-reported-by-tested-by-reviewed-by-suggested-by-and-fixes

It should be something like this:

Fixes: xxxxxxx ("commit subject of the fixed commit")

xxxx - should be around 12 digits of the fixed commit hash.

@dbaluta Done. Could you verify whether I've done it correctly?

@tlauda Looks good, GH links to the commit itself. Not sure if 12 digits are actually needed on this repo (they may be needed on the Linux one) but I digress.
