Russians shoot blanks [when text rendering is buggy] #98

The unicode filtering works correctly, but the rendering of the text does not.

The filter input won't display any characters, even if they are ASCII special (the ones currently supported), after the first occurrence of, let's say, a Greek/Cyrillic character.

The text in other areas renders the non-ASCII text blank (even if the font supports it).

Reproduce

Tease it with the following string (Τhe ο is Cyrillic):

abcdοghij

The value is displayed as:

abcd ghij

EDIT: After playing for a while with the function font(f) I'm really glad the rendering is currently being rewritten #2 (comment). Hopefully issues similar to #99 will be fixed.
