Rather than have this PR against master, since it is likely other changes will land in MicroPython before version 1.0 is finalised, it would be better to create a new branch in this repository (I don't have push access) and then change this PR to go against that instead. |

Looking at this again, I wonder if we should also include 412efe0 somewhere in the editor.html version information too? |
I think it's probably a good idea for now, but once we can extract that from the hex file, we should use that as the single source of truth. |

We have a newer version of MicroPython in the
version1branch (https://github.com/bbcmicrobit/micropython/tree/version1). This PR adds a MicroPython built from version bbcmicrobit/micropython@a10ffec
