When I open a file for the first time, I sometimes see that lines of code have been randomly erased. CTRL-Z does not revert this, so it is not something caused by any user interaction with the program. The line numbers show that something used to be there, and the erasures don't line up neatly with lines--for example, the end of line 7, all of lines 8-19, and the beginning of line 20 were deleted in one program.
This has happened enough times that it seems to be a systemic error. This never happened to me with the Glowscript editor. It is very frustrating, as there is no backup (as far as I know), so I have no way to restore the programs affected.
I haven't been able to reproduce this locally, and I don't yet know whether this is actual saved source mutation or a Monaco/editor rendering/cache issue. Leaving it open for now, but please provide more details if it happens again:\n\n- Browser version and OS version\n- Exact steps leading up to the disappearing code\n- Whether refreshing the page or opening the same URL in a new tab restores the code\n- Whether the API/downloaded program source also has missing text, or only the editor display\n- Any JavaScript console output\n- Whether it happens with Code hints disabled and/or in a private browser window/fresh profile\n\nIf possible, immediately download/copy the affected program source before making further edits so we can compare what is actually stored.

Wow. Sorry about this. I have not experienced that. Maybe make copies of code before you test with the new editor.
I'll try to look for a source of this problem.

Can you share details of Browser, OS, etc.?

If you see any way to prepare a document to make the behavior reproducible, that would be helpful.

Another useful bit of information would be any output that might appear in the javascript console.
