I'm a developer at Method Learning. Most of my background is in web development: I've worked a lot with Go, Svelte, React, Node.js, and PHP, and Laravel is still the framework I enjoy most. On the data side I'm comfortable with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, and I use Docker and Kubernetes to get things deployed and keep them running.
Lately I've been getting into security. I passed my CompTIA Security+ and I'm now studying penetration testing. After years of building things, I've gotten curious about how they get broken, and I think learning that side is making me a better developer.
A lot of my work over the years has been for small businesses, usually building custom CMS setups that fit how they actually run. I like that kind of work because you can see the difference it makes for them.
