Any plans to allow for LDAP integration instead of having user:hash lists?

    Hello, I am not really familiar with ldap so not sure if I can implement it. I want to get oauth support working right now but I could try to add ldap support in the future. Thank you for your suggestion!

    Alright after some though I decided this is a bit out of scope for the project. Adding ldap would make things way too complicated for a simple login screen. I will close this for now.

    Thank you for a wonderful application.

    suggestion: maybe you can have LDAP as a plugin that users tick a checkbox to enable/download thereby not increasing the size of TinyAuth and keeping the code clean

    You made me revisit the topic and...#232. It's simpler than I thought and diving deeper into LDAP I am starting to like it a lot.

    docker guacamole has a similar setup, they have an environment variable that loads it if users want it (also pingvin but loads it by default)

    Thank you for the wonderful work. You might need to update the documentation,

    Documentation: LDAP Config

    For a Windows LDAP server, the search variable should be as below (you might want to ask others to check too)
    LDAP_SEARCH_FILTER = (&(sAMAccountName=%s))

    I used the uid as it's what being used by LLDAP which the guide uses. I can add a note but I think people setting up Tinyauth with windows LDAP will already know what they are doing. What do you think?

  14. joel72265 commented on Aug 9, 2025

    @joel72265

    I think a note would suffice.

    Reason being, I had to try a few different configurations to get it to work

    Alright I will add it in the documentation. Would you like to add it to appear as a contributor?

    @joel72265

    I even tried to add it myself before posting but I don't know how to do it, I need to fork it or something
