Description
I'm working on adding get_configuration for Waves module. sof-ctl "set" requests work fine with a couple messages we have here - tool itself reports "success", I can see ipc rx/tx in dmesg and respective FW traces in sof-logger.
However, the following "get" request does not induce any activity in dmesg/logger:
localhost ~ # sof-ctl -Dhw:0 -n 292
Control size is 8192.
Retrieving configuration for device hw:0 control numid=292.
Success.
Followed by a CSV dump which appears to be uninitialised memory. numid 292 here is Waves control as reported by amixer.
Platform: mt8186
SOF: Tested branches origin/main and origin/mt8186/v0.2.
Kernel: Linux localhost 5.15.64-09059-gc972c537e297-dirty #2 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 1 14:08:19 IST 2022 aarch64 GNU/Linux
I'd appreciate if someone could look into this.
