Description
Describe the bug
No sound devices since 7.1 (and up to current 7.2.6) kernel on MSI Prestige 13 AI+ A3MG. On 7.0.x kernels sound works.
To Reproduce
Turn on laptop -> no sound devices
Reproduction Rate
Always
Expected behavior
Sound should work
Impact
Can't use kernels updates since 7.0.14
Environment
- Branch name and commit hash of the 2 repositories: sof (firmware/topology) and linux (kernel driver).
- Kernel: Arch Linux's 7.2.6.arch2-1 kernel
- SOF: sof-firmware 2025.12.2-1
- Name of the topology file
maybe intel/sof-ipc4-tplg/sof-ptl-rt713-l3-rt1320-l1.tplg (see logs below) - Name of the platform(s) on which the bug is observed.
- Platform: MSI Prestige 13 AI+ A3MG

Moving to kernel, seems to be a regression in topology lookup (old kernel correctly using function topologies).

can you try to copy/rename sof-ptl-rt713-l3-rt1320-l1.tplg.txt to
/lib/firmware/intel/sof-ipc4-tplg/sof-ptl-rt713-l3-rt1320-l1.tplgand reboot and see if audio works. It is unfortunate that a match added for a device which had 2x DMIC and this non DMIC topology was not created at the same time, and I think this match must have not been added in the first place. Function topology should have been working.
topology2: ace3: Add back sof-ptl-rt713-l3-rt1320-l1 topology
