Translation of website http://www.hackety-hack.com into foreign languages #1
I can also help with German. Really great German too - used to work as a copy editor. (;
Btw. I think using an online collaboration tool for translations (like https://webtranslateit.com/en) would help greatly.
Thanks so much for volunteering for our request! It would be really
fantastic to see the hackety-hack.com website translated into Spanish.
The work would involve a bit of coding (we can provide the code) and
translation.
I will be contacting you very shortly with what needs to be done. In the
meantime, please feel free to look at the http://www.hackety-hack.comwebsite to take a look around. We look
forward, with your help and
enthusiasm, to making hackety hack a truly international resource for
newbie developers looking to learn Ruby in a fun way.

Uhmmm... @teamhacketyhack, you do know that everyone who's subscribed to this thread gets all of your copy-pasted messages, no? (;
Also, seeing as there are several people who volunteered for helping with e.g. the German translation, you really should give us some sort of tool which will make it easy for us to collaborate. Are you planning on using an online collaboration tool (other than GitHub)? Cheers.
Thanks for all volunteering to work on this project.
kerstin, as far as your request for a tool to collaborate on, have you used Basecamp http://www.basecamp.com before? It's a project collaboration tool and is widely used in the developer community.
We are in the process of setting it up and as soon as that is done, we will be contacting you all to register and then begin.
If you want to begin taking a look at hackety-hack, please look at http://www.hackety-hack.com. We also have a repository of the source code at our other github repository, hackety-hack.com
@teamhacketyhack I've never used basecamp before (AFAIR), but anything that'll make collaborating easier sounds good to me! Thanks for setting this up.
There seems to be a bit of confusion about what is actually going on here.
Team Hackety Hack is the RGSoC 2013 sponsored team working on the hackety-hack.com website and one of the issues that we will be tacking will be the translation of the website into foreign languages.
We are in the process of setting up a system for all volunteers to use in collaborating during this aspect of the project. If you need any further clarification, please write your comments here or email teamhacketyhack at gmail.com or tweet us at @teamhacketyhack.
We still need volunteers to help us translate in the following languages:
Russian
Ukranian
Afrikaans
Arabic
Chinese Traditional
Dutch
Finnish
Hebrew
Icelandic
Italian
Japanese
Khmer
Korean
Norwegian
Persian
Polish
Portuguese
Serbian
Swedish
Fluent in these languages? Please hep us translate hackety-hack.com into these languages.

Hi Ivana
I've enabled the Slovak language so you can now go back into Crowdin and
begin translating!
The text that requires translating is within the double quotation marks " ".
Also if you know anyone else that can help translate hackety-hack.com into
Slovak, please ask them to join in too!
Thanks
