, I do get a response from the server that includes the groups property of every item in the collection expanded. (Note also that search does not accept an expand=Expansion() parameter).
Unfortunately another http request is then issued any time I try to access the groups property in an account in the resulting parsed collection.
accounts[0].groups# this sends an http request even though the groups data was already received
I'm using the latest version (2.0.8) on python 3.4.
I assume I'm either not doing this right, or this is a bug affecting all collections. Wanted to check before working on a patch if the latter. Thanks!
Thanks for reporting this! We're looking into this now and discussing the best way to handle this internally to the SDK! There's quite a few considerations to be made here.
I am also seeing this behavior, the SDK seems to make HTTP requests for the groups even after they have been retrieved through link expansion. Similarly, HTTP requests get made when the groups data (for both the account and the application) should have been cached. I think this is probably related, but I can make a separate issue if you would like.
