Install the coance-config skill in Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add solid-software/coance-public
/plugin install coance@coance
Then, in your repository, ask "Write a coance.yml for this project", or
run /coance:coance-config. The skill drafts a coance.yml for you to
review and writes it only when you agree.
Coance is a GitHub App that enforces per-file review
rules on pull requests. Your repository's coance.yml says which code
needs a careful human review, how many people must approve it, and who may.
| What | Where | Status |
|---|---|---|
coance-config skill: drafts a coance.yml for your repository |
plugins/coance/skills/coance-config/ |
available |
coance command-line tool: validate a config, suggest one, show metrics |
release binaries | coming soon |
Run inside your repository, the skill:
- reads the project: its layout, languages,
CODEOWNERS, and the code that handles payments, authentication, personal data, infrastructure and database migrations; - proposes review levels for the areas your project actually has, with
approvals, owners from your
CODEOWNERS, and descriptions that tell reviewers what to check; - adds an
ignorelist for committed generated, vendored and build files; - shows you a short table of what it would govern and why, and writes
.github/coance.ymlonly when you agree.
Review the draft before you commit it: you decide which code needs which level. Files no rule matches get no requirement from Coance, and your usual review applies to them, so pull requests don't fill up with review threads.
The skill is a plain Agent Skills folder: a
SKILL.md with its reference files. Copy
plugins/coance/skills/coance-config/ to wherever your agent loads skills
from, or point the agent at its SKILL.md.
