Summary

Type of Change

  • Bug fix

Testing

  • atlassian.test.ts: new case where a summary pair match lacking a query term must not lead; it fails with the pre-fix query; lib/sim-search/live suite passes (335 tests)
  • Offline replay on a large production Jira (read-only), 28 overflowing plain queries from real client sessions, pooled blind relevance labels with the question's expected facts, two independent judges:
    • shipped rule vs the pre-summary page: better 14/18, worse 3/1 (one regression drops the issue holding an expected fact)
    • this fix vs the pre-summary page: better 12/14, worse 0/0
    • relevant issues in the top 10: pre-summary 37/39, shipped 67/87, this fix 53/59
  • End to end, a client benchmark on a release with the shipped rule scored 2.4 lower than the previous release; the question that dropped most matches the regression above

[Medium impact] The PR appears safe to merge.

Summary

Restricts Jira’s half-terms summary tier to issues that also match the full query.

  • Jira’s half-term summaries only reorder issues matching every query term.

* revert(search): restore the v0.9.23 Jira text search

Reverts the Jira summary tiers (#9111, #9115, #9121, #9129). A plain Jira search
again returns the all-terms text match in Jira's order, as in v0.9.23. The
stemmedTerms helper stays; cross-source ranking uses it.

* chore(search): stop exporting stemmedTerms now only text-match uses it
