Contribution Summary

Adds Glim to Markdown / Document Renderers, using the project source record, official icon and regenerated directory output. I maintain Glim.

Project Information

Contributor Checklist

  • Genuinely Open Source: complete source is in the public project repository.
  • Accepted License: MIT, checked against the official LICENSE file.
  • macOS Compatibility: published desktop DMGs for Apple Silicon and Intel.
  • Icon Added: official project icon, resized to a 256×256 PNG (28,562 bytes, square).
  • No Duplicates: checked project names and URLs in data/projects.yml and previous Glim proposals.
  • Validation Script: python3 scripts/validate-projects.py passed for all 1,274 records and icon references.
  • README Regenerated: python3 scripts/generate-readme.py regenerated README.md and site-data.json.

Glim is a free local file viewer built with Rust and GPUI Kit. Markdown reading includes Mermaid and formulas, with basic source editing; PDFs, images, JSON, CSV and code can remain in workspace tabs. Capabilities and limits and the real screenshot in the README are available for review.

Current installers are not Apple-notarized; the README provides first-launch instructions. No Featured placement, cached star number or performance benchmark is requested. The icon is the existing project artwork; no logo was invented. Git diff --check passed. No full remote link scan or application test was run for this directory submission.
