Reveal the connection once the database is running #35

What to build

When an instance is running, the endpoint and the credentials are shown on request, in the terminal. Requesting them is the only way they appear: nothing is copied to the clipboard behind the user's back, and nothing is written to a file or a log.

Acceptance criteria

  • A running instance offers its endpoint, user and password on request.
  • The credentials appear only when asked for; no other key reveals or copies them.
  • They are never written to a file, a log line, a shell history entry or an error message.
  • An instance that is stopped, still provisioning or failed says why the credentials are not available yet.
  • A test can prove the reveal does not write anything to disk.
