Why

Two statements about Kendo's behaviour turned out wrong when measured against a live server:

  • Search. The caveat said search-issues AND-matches multi-word queries. It matches the literal phrase. Two words that are both in an issue title but not adjacent return 0; a contiguous phrase from the same title returns that issue; one of the words alone finds it too. Re-checked today (2026-10-01) with the same result.
  • Combine. The bullet said the extra reports in a Combine are dismissed. Measured over three Combines, every report in the batch is promoted to the one issue and none is dismissed.

What

  • The search caveat says "literal phrase", carries the three-query measurement as a small table, and drops the "or OR-style" advice: no OR syntax is documented, and a phrase match searches such a string verbatim.
  • The Combine bullet says what happens.
  • Both changes go into skills/triage-reports/ and plugins/kendo-pm/skills/triage-reports/.
  • Plugin copy only: a short warning to settle the dismiss category and note before the call. Kendo refuses a second dismiss ("This report has already been dismissed."), and no MCP tool edits a report.

The consumer also moved dismiss reasons onto the report, but the kendo-pm copy already does that, so that part is not offered.

From Lokale Keuze's copy of this skill (LK-1305).

No plugin.json version bump. This is one of eight parallel PRs from the same consumer, and each bump would collide on the same line. Bump on merge as you prefer.

Test plan

  • Measurement reproduced against the live MCP server on 2026-10-01.
  • CI green

Two statements about Kendo's behaviour were wrong when measured against a
live server:

- search-issues does not AND-match a multi-word query; it matches the
literal phrase. Two words that are both in a title but not adjacent
return zero, while a contiguous phrase from the same title returns the
issue. The "or OR-style" workaround is dropped: no OR syntax is
documented, and a phrase match searches that string verbatim.
- A Combine promotes every report in the batch to the one issue. None
  is dismissed.

The kendo-pm copy also gains a warning to settle the dismiss category and
note before the call: Kendo refuses a second dismiss, and no MCP tool
edits a report.

Lifted from a consumer copy (Lokale Keuze, LK-1305).
