Important
Scouting Commons is unofficial. We are an independent community project and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or speaking for Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America). Scouting America, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Venturing, the Fleur-de-lis, and related names, logos, and marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Scouting America, used here only to identify the programs our tools serve. Official program content, requirements, and data remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. For authoritative information, always refer to scouting.org.
Scouting runs on volunteers, and volunteers deserve good tools. Scouting Commons is a shared home for the free, community-built software that helps packs, troops, crews, ships, and councils do their work, plus the documentation and data that let anyone build more.
- Document the systems Scouting software depends on, so developers don't have to reverse-engineer them alone.
- Curate the best community projects, so units can find tools that already exist.
- Build in the open, so anyone can use, fix, and extend what we make.
