[Bug]: CLI does not validate that sort field is populated in new-entry #8
Adding an entry to a collection will cause an exception if the sort key isn’t present. The CLI needs to validate that the sort key is included in the data passed to new-entry.
Operating System
Windows
What Python Version are you using?
Python 3.9
Have you installed Plugins/Themes/Custom Parsers?
No response
What did you enter to get the output that you received?
Solution would be to check for the sort key and and add a field for it.
Should we check to see if that field is date and add an appropriate date field? Otherwise we'll add something like date: date which will cause an error later on when we sort which this is supposed to help get rid of.
I can see doing that and I can see erroring out at the creation phase saying it's missing the sort key.
