Summary:

This is the 0.88-stable counterpart of #258, which makes the same change on main.

For apps built with the iOS 27 SDK, iOS 27 makes the UIApplication status bar setters no-ops. react/react-native#58926 changed StatusBar to report its style and visibility through the view controller status bar methods instead. That path only works when UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance is YES.

The template still sets it to NO, so StatusBar has no effect in new projects built with the iOS 27 SDK. This sets it to YES, which matches the change made to helloworld and RNTester in react/react-native#58926.

Changelog:

[IOS] [CHANGED] - Set UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance to true in the template Info.plist

Test Plan:

The change is one value in template/ios/HelloWorld/Info.plist. The template CI jobs build the iOS app from the template.
