   Any plans on supporting PNG on Edge soon or is this not in the high priority list?

   Here is code based on angular-plotly but it can also be used here

     this.plotlyService.getPlotly().toImage(plotDiv, { // First converting to svg as IE has this option only for plotly
         format: 'svg', width: dPlotWidth, height: dPlotHeight, filename: plotSaveAsFilename
       }
       ).then(function(encodedUrl) {
         // console.log('svg DataURI :: ', encodedUrl);

         const value = encodedUrl.trim()
           .replace(/background-image:\s{0,}url\(/, ``)
           .replace(/["']{0,}data:image\/svg\+xml,/, ``)
           .replace(/["']\);{0,}$/, ``);
         // console.log('svg DataURI VALUE :: ', value);
         const svg1 = decodeURIComponent(value);
         // console.log(svg1);

         const canvas1 = document.createElement('canvas');
         Canvg(canvas1, svg1, { // Canvg required or else tainted canvas based security error
           renderCallback: function() {
             // (canvas as any).msToBlob(function(blob) {
             //   window.navigator.msSaveBlob(blob, 'TEST.png');
             // });
             const blob = (canvas1 as any).msToBlob();
             window.navigator.msSaveBlob(blob, plotSaveAsFilename + '.png'); // finally coverting to png in IE
           }
         });
       })

   Hi - this issue has been sitting for a while, so as part of our effort to tidy up our public repositories I'm going to close it. If it's still a concern, we'd be grateful if you could open a new issue (with a short reproducible example if appropriate) so that we can add it to our stack. Cheers - @gvwilson
