pkgdev commit: add copyright headers to new files #11

Open

Description

@thesamesam

Often, in profiles/*, we need to make new files like use.mask within subprofiles. pkgdev commit could add the necessary copyright headers at the beginning of the file.

See also: #5 where we update existing headers.

    What's the best way of identifying what files need a copyright header and which ones can't have one at all? I'd rather not maintain a hardcoded list in pkgdev.

    Or restated another way, why do any profile files need copyright headers? 😆

    Now I feel daft. I've kind of assumed it's needed because most other files in profiles/* have them. I can't find a reference for it and I've opened a bug given it seems useless.
