Well, it seems this project is pretty abandoned. Moreover, Debian has moved to Nftables, so I suspect its source code should be modified anyway...

Hi again. One concern that was brought up in

is that the self-tests uses the
python-unsharemodule which is a trivial module.I also noticed that there is some confusion around the python-unshare module, there is one on PyPI:

But your project reference this python-unshare:

What do you think about using something like what Helmut propose in the first link?

This package is available in Debian trixie now, so I believe this bug can be closed.
