I design and build software, embedded systems, and electronic products. And yep, my name is Li Wei, not Wei Li. If you do not respect my cultural diversity, I will burn your house down.
My work spans from low-level systems and firmware to developer tools, engineering software, and IoT devices. I tend to work across the boundaries between disciplines rather than staying within a single technology stack.
- EdgeLinkd A Rust implementation of a Node-RED compatible flow-based programming environment.
- BorneoIoT An open hardware and software platform for aquarium LED, built around ESP32, embedded firmware, local networking, and Flutter app.
- MaltReport A .NET document generation and templating system for producing structured office documents and reports.
- MapMatchingKit A C# adaptation of Barefoot for GPS map matching and road-network processing.
- TIDS A Typst template for producing engineering datasheets for electronic components.
- Branchie An HTML5 interactive video player based on finite-state-machine concepts.
- LWDT A lightweight device-tree and driver framework solution for ESP-IDF.
I am currently developing several private and experimental projects around engineering software and electronic systems.
One of them is VibEDA, a PCB-level EDA built from scratch with .NET and Avalonia. It explores how PCB design software can represent engineering objects, geometry, connectivity, and design intent in a form suitable for AI-assisted workflows.
VibEDA is a private project.
