### Installing by `curl` behind a proxy
When running `curl` behind a proxy, don't invoke it as `curl --proxy [proxy-protocol://]proxy-host[:proxy-port]`. That's because this step downloads a script, which invokes `curl` again.
Instead, have `~/.curlrc` containing

```proxy=[proxy-protocol://]proxy-host[:proxy-port]```
