docker pull fails for published Alpine March 2026 security images (no matching manifest) #2428
docker pull 24.14.1-alpine3.23 should pull the published image
Current Behavior
docker pull fails, with the following error message:
Error response from daemon: no matching manifest for linux/amd64 in the manifest list entries: no match for platform in manifest: not found
Possible Solution
Examine the publication process to Docker Hub.
Steps to Reproduce
Executed:
docker pull node:24.14.1-alpine3.23
Additional Information
Each of the published Alpine images from the March 2026 security release are showing on Docker hub without any architectures listed. Previous releases are showing with a number of architectures.
I'm not familiar enough with the build / publish process to work out whether this is an issue caused by building from docker-library/official-images#21109 or whether it's a Docker Hub issue.
The Alpine images for the current version Node.js 25.8.2 are still in the PR approval pipeline and I would guess that they would also be completed in an additional few hours from now:

possibly not an issue, see docker-library/official-images#20845

This issue is now resolved, and it turns out it was just a question of waiting around 7 hours for the builds to complete:
