This is definitely not a Nextcloud problem but a problem of your server/web server. The mentioned PHP redis.so module cannot be loaded because an underlying library is missing which contains the
spprintfsymbol/function. You should double-check if the modules/libraries on your server are up-to-date and make sure that your web server can load the module without any error before you try to activate the function in Nextcloud.rullzer commentedon Jan 2, 2018
As mentioned this is not a nextcloud issue but an issue of your installation. Nextcloud wants to use redis (as you tell it to). But PHP fails to load it properly. Please consult your distribution php guide.

FWIW I get this by doing the official nextcloud VM instructions (apache, ubuntu 16.04): https://github.com/nextcloud/vm

Then please file an issue there.
