Feature request
Which Nextcloud Version are you currently using: (see administration page)
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]
I'm not sure if this is actually already a thing or not, but I noticed all the tools in here seem to be implemented in this app. That means that if an app wants to have its tools in this, they have to. Make a pull request and implement it in here, right?
Describe the solution you'd like
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
I think it would be nice to have an endpoint where an app either a back-end app as in a Harp app, or a regular PHP app could add tools. For instance, a PHP app could register a tool even if it was a 3rd party app. Of course, this would be managed in the settings of Context agent which apps would be turned on or not.
That way, if an app wants to add a tool, instead of having to make a pull request and work within this repository, any app would be able to automatically put this in.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
Put it in manually in this app.
Additional context
Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.
Again, I sure if this already exists.
I feel like this app is mature enough and also is widely enough used most likely that it makes sense to be able to let other apps register their own tools, especially for the sake of if other apps decide to use this more often and provide more tools, then eventually this app can just grow and grow in size of tools that may not even be added by the user.
It makes sense to have many apps provide a connector to one app, then to have one app provide a connector for many apps which a user may not even use. That way only apps that the user has active is contributing to making the tool size bigger.

You can either make a PR or write an MCP server you can connect, yes :) We are in the process of discussing how tools can be added in other ways, happy to have some inputs and ideas here

What about an endpoint that would be an internal endpoint that regular apps like PHP apps and also external apps can automatically put in their tools.
I'm assuming when you mean that the admin can put in MCP servers but I was thinking something more automated for apps for themselves.
This would allow apps to define their own tools instead of having them to find in this app because instead of having many tools for apps that the user may not even have active on their instance be in this app this would allow every single app to just connect to this and provide its own tools so if their tools are stored in their own apps.
Sorry my computer won't work for GitHub right now so I'm on my phone and it's cut out once and I had to restart this message so sorry it's pretty bad.

I haven't looked much on it but if you could use something like n8n or some other kind of recursive or layered tool calling approach you could maybe even have something like agents that could be called off and split off or have things happen on a time based on what is output by the contact agent for example you might be able to have timed tool calls and responses or things that are time-dependent or just things that have to be split off and done by subprocesses to save on tokens you might even be able to have special agents that specialize in certain tools and thus save and tokens by only needing those tools maybe one agent specializes in one group of tools and you have multiple of those agents
Sorry again for the big block of text all at once.
