I don't know what's going on here, but I did find some weirdness in the permission for installation. Please try branch
#62and let me know if it works.If it doesn't, please try installing to a different location (for instance, somewhere in your home directory) where it's less likely the installation prefix directory could have weird permissions (using e.g http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6003374/what-is-cmake-equivalent-of-configure-prefix-dir-make-all-install), and let me know if you have any success with that.
