branch here can't be remote if you don't specify branch_type in Branch.lookup, it defaults to local branches only.

Maybe we should get rid of the branch_type arg and call just git_reference_is_remote in Branch.lookup?

Repository#checkoutmethod to switch or detachHEAD, andRepository#checkout_treeto checkout all or individual files from a specific branch/commit/tag/revspec.This superseedes #107, which has been outdated for quite some time.
