Summary
Exported OTLP log records now carry the browser's session identity:
kernel.session_id: the browser'ssession_id.kernel.session_name: the browser'sname, when it has one. A rename applies to records captured after it.This updates Export Telemetry to match:
kernel.session_idinstead.Merge after rollout
Merge this only after both changes below are deployed. Until then, the page would describe attributes that exported records don't carry yet.
Note
Low Risk
Documentation-only change; merge after the stamping/control-plane rollout so the page does not describe attributes that are not yet on exported records.
Overview
Updates Export Telemetry so it matches OTLP records that now include browser identity on every exported log.
What arrives in your backend documents
kernel.session_id(join to the browser) andkernel.session_name(browsernamewhen set; renames apply to later records). Confirm export is working drops the claim that exports lack session ID, simplifies thekernel-export-checkmarker so it no longer embeds the session ID, and tells readers to verify delivery by filtering onkernel.session_idplus the marker text.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 5214a81.
