I'm encountering the same issue—Python 3.14.0 won't run, while versions 3.13, 3.12, and 3.10 all work fine.

Ipykernel 7.0.1 has been released on PyPI and works with Python 3.14. The new conda-forge package will follow shortly.

@ianthomas23 Thanks a lot for the prompt resolution to this issue😄. I have installed ipykernel 7.0.1 and this issue has been fixed now.

After the downgrade, I also had to make VS Code refresh the selected kernel:
After that, execution worked normally again.
So this seems consistent with the earlier report that
ipykernel 7.xcan cause kernels to remain stuck connecting/executing, whileipykernel 6.xworks.fix(setup): pin notebook ipykernel to >=6.31.0,<7
