Support datetime.date type as valid timestamp in datastore #278
I'm not sure what you mean by "timestamp": is it that Entity values of type datetime.date should be marshalled / unmarshalled cleanly in the '_helpers' functions? If so, for completeness, we should also include datetime.time and datetime.timedelta.
This functionality (at least in one direction) could be done by converting the datetime.date to a datetime.datetime at midnight of the same day and then converting to microseconds.
The "unmarshal" part is the tough one though, and that's why I also filed #279

Yes, that's what I was getting at.
