No Restore button when hovering a word cut with Backspace in the transcript #745
Found during the v1.13.0-rc.4 manual e2e pass (#741): CI-signed DMG, macOS 26.5 (25F71), M1.
Steps: transcribe a recording with speech, put the caret on a word, press Backspace. The word turns red/struck through and a trim appears on the timeline (document has trimRanges 10.35–10.71). Hover the struck word (moving the pointer out and back in, too).
Expected: the transcript.restoreWord button (RightPanes.tsx ~1964, rendered when removed && hover && cw.trimIds.length > 0) appears next to the word.
Actual: no button ever appears. ⌘Z and the trim inspector's Restore (delete trim) still restore the word, so the cut is recoverable — only the hover affordance is missing. Hover tooltips elsewhere in the same window work.
Could not reproduce, so no fix for rc.6. The cut word's trimIds is populated (checked with the exact 10.35–10.71 case), a jsdom hover renders the Restore button, and both a dev renderer and the installed 1.13.0-rc.4 app show the button in the DOM on a genuine mouseenter after Backspace. The one capture where it was missing coincided with a real mouseleave from the OS cursor a moment later, so the likeliest cause is the computer-use driver's hover not reaching or not holding on the window during the e2e pass, not the button's condition. Leaving open pending a manual repro (a human hover over a Backspace-cut word, ideally with monitorEvents(<word span>, 'mouse') in DevTools).
Closing: not reproducible, see the comment above. The Restore button is in the DOM on a real mouseenter after Backspace, in a dev renderer and in 1.13.0-rc.4; the one miss matched the computer-use driver's hover. Reopen if it shows up with a real mouse.
