The stale-backup guard on 3.27.x blocks upgrades when $BACKUP_DIR is non-empty, but a dedicated volume mounted there contains a lost+found directory which is not stale data. This brings 3.27.x in line with master by exempting the lost+found directory from the check and suppressing stderr from ls -A when the directory does not exist. Ticket: ENT-12809
