The icons I set have become too low in resolution after being compressed, making it difficult to distinguish their content. Additionally, I hope that the names of the icons can be displayed when the mouse hovers over them. #385

I've set icons for each script displayed on the toolbar. However, the icons that appear on the toolbar are extremely blurry and it's difficult to distinguish their content. I suspect that the resolution has been compressed too much. Additionally, I'd like to suggest that when the mouse hovers over the corresponding icon, its name (such as the script name or a custom name) could be displayed. Thank you for your hard work on this project!

    As can be seen from the selected area of my picture, the white area is the icon, the blue selected part is the entire icon area, and the white only accounts for part. The icon file does not fully fill the entire icon area.

    I ran into this issue yesterday and found there's no built-in way to do it. As a workaround, install the Customize Toolbar plugin.

    Give each PythonScript file exactly the name you want shown on hover.

    Navigate to

    %APPDATA%\Notepad++\plugins\config

    and open

    CustomizeToolbar.btn

    Inside CustomizeToolbar.btn, add a line like this:

    Plugins,Python Script,Scripts,<SCRIPT_NAME_NO_EXT>,,,<ICON_NAME.ICO>,<ICON_NAME.ICO>

    Place your .ico file in the same folder as CustomizeToolbar.btn. Then restart Notepad++, and use the Customize Toolbar UI to position your new button.
