'containingPane' is undefined when trying to open file patch view#340

It looks this.filePatchController is defined, even though it is not displayed in any pane.

I had recently amended a commit; I wonder if the disappearance of the diff after hitting "amend" may be related to this issue.

    This should be made obsolete by the refactor in #332. If you see it again let us know
