Quick Build now tracks PackageInstaller session IDs and abandons its sessions after completion, failure, timeout, or cancellation.
Quick Build sweeps stale installer sessions at startup and before installing. The sweep preserves tracked Run-button and InstallFileAction sessions that are still in flight.
Quick Build reports the 50-session limit separately from other install failures.
Quick Build ignores aborted broadcasts from sessions abandoned during cleanup or reissue.
Pending-user-action intents now include FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK and FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP.
Added tests for session cleanup, stale broadcasts, session-limit errors, and startup recovery. Test execution results are not available.
Risk: Sweeps can dismiss outstanding install prompts for sessions not tracked as in-flight user installs. A tracking race or missed status broadcast could affect a user install.
Quick Build now uses session-aware APK installation. It matches result broadcasts to session IDs, abandons tracked sessions, sweeps stale sessions at startup, and reports active-session-cap failures separately.

ApkInstaller exposes classified session results, tracks active sessions, and provides abandonment and sweep operations. Application wiring connects these operations to Quick Build. Installation status handlers record terminal broadcasts and apply both confirmation-activity flags.
ProxyAppInstaller tracks launched and abandoned session IDs, filters stale broadcasts, retries eligible prompts, and abandons sessions during cleanup. Installation events now carry an optional session ID. Tests cover session matching, cleanup, reissue, and cancellation.
QuickBuildSessionManager runs the installer-session sweep on its IO dispatcher before the scratch-tree sweep. The application callback records abandoned sessions. Tests verify cleanup before provisioning.
The change tracks Quick Build install sessions, sweeps stale ones, and reports the session-cap failure separately. A Standard Run install in progress is preserved during the sweep. Only minor follow-ups remain: run the stale-session sweep off the caller's thread, and fix a test that does not exercise its intended filter.

Major · Functional Correctness · Heavy lift
Limit the startup sweep to stale Quick Build sessions.
If a Standard Run install is active when this manager starts, sweepInstallSessions() calls ApkInstaller.abandonMySessions() and abandons that install too. The app uses the same installer for Standard Run, while getMySessions() returns all sessions owned by the app. Abandoning a session destroys its staged data and fails the install. Track Quick Build ownership across restarts and exclude Standard Run sessions from this sweep. (developer.android.com)

Run sweepStaleSessions() on ioDispatcher, not on the caller's dispatcher.
The sweep calls PackageInstaller.getMySessions and then abandonSession once per session. With the 50-session cap, that is up to 51 blocking binder calls. ensureInstalled runs this inline on the calling coroutine, which is the Quick Build session thread.
The other blocking reads in this class (readPackages, readStamp, isSameContent) all use withContext(ioDispatcher). The existing comment in isSameContent states that blocking the session thread is forbidden. Apply the same rule here.
Do not use runCatching around the suspend call. It would swallow CancellationException.

Run sweepStaleSessions from ensureInstalled on ioDispatcher using withContext,
matching the dispatcher used for blocking reads such as readPackages, readStamp,
and isSameContent. Replace runCatching with exception handling that logs sweep
failures but rethrows CancellationException so coroutine cancellation
propagates.
The sweep half of this test does not exercise the filter.
onSweep runs before ensureInstalled subscribes to broadcasts. broadcasts is a MutableSharedFlow with no replay. At that point there is no collector, so tryEmit(ABORTED, sessionId = 400) is dropped. The test passes without the abandonedSessionIds filter for session 400.
In production, Android delivers the ABORTED broadcast for a swept session asynchronously, after the collector exists. The test should model that timing. Only the 401 re-issue path is actually covered.
Emit the ABORTED(400) broadcast after the first launch, for example from launchSession. Keep recordAbandonedSession(400) in onSweep.
