ADFA-6794

PluginResourceContext.getAssets() returns the plugin's own assets. For a plugin with its own package id it returned the activity's, where every such plugin's APK is added and an asset path two plugins share opens whichever was added last, so AI Core could read AI Agent Local's agent.yml.

Review by commit: the first is Spotless reformatting the file, no functional change.

📝 Summary
  • PluginResourceContext.getAssets() now returns the plugin’s own AssetManager. This prevents one plugin’s asset paths from taking precedence over another plugin’s assets.
  • Added a Robolectric test that checks resources still come from the activity while assets come from the plugin’s resources.
  • Risk: the test checks AssetManager identity. It does not verify that opening a shared asset path returns the plugin’s expected file.
  • Test execution results are not available.

PluginResourceContext.getAssets() now returns the plugin’s assets. A Robolectric test checks that plugin assets and application resources come from their respective sources.

getAssets() returns pluginResources.assets. The test checks that the context’s assets come from the plugin and its resources come from the application.

The change appears mergeable, but a two-plugin APK test would give stronger assurance that plugins read their own assets when paths collide.

Explanation

The title names the main change: PluginResourceContext.getAssets() now returns each plugin's own assets instead of the activity's. It also carries the ticket ID, ADFA-6794. The raw summary confirms this is the core behavioral fix, with formatting-only changes elsewhere.

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The description explains the bug and its impact. getAssets() returned the activity's assets for plugins with their own package ID, so a shared asset path could load the wrong plugin's file (AI Core reading AI Agent Local's agent.yml). It also states that the first commit is a Spotless reformat with no functional change. This matches the raw summary and the objectives.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 12 functions across 2 files.

Resolution

Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Test APK-backed asset isolation with two plugins.

The identity assertion detects a direct regression to getAssets() = getResources().assets, because custom-package contexts resolve resources through the activity while getAssets() must return the plugin resource assets. It does not verify that two APKs containing different values at the same asset path remain isolated.

Add two APK-backed plugin contexts with different contents at the same asset path, register both, and assert that each context reads its own content. This is a recommended coverage improvement, not evidence of a current production failure.
