Feature: expand format to allow for expansion of xlables and ylabels similar to how titles is run #815
Description
Titles can be passed as lists, but xlabel will pass it on to all axes. This creates a disconnect when we format with one call when we have non-shared axes. This should be changed.
For example
axs.format(titles = [..], xlabel = [..])
will split the titles to the available axes but not work for xlabel(etc).

I like this. I had been hesitating for a long time about whether to propose this.

Feel free to propose stuff in the future. Want things to be more like a conversation than a dictatorship.
