The page gained a significant ranking jump (pos 29.6 → 21.2) which brought in a large influx of new impressions — but those new impressions are converting to clicks at a much lower rate than the existing core audience, dragging overall CTR down by 46%.
Hypothesis
The page is now surfacing for a broader set of mid-funnel queries (e.g. generic "key finder" type searches) where the title/description is less compelling or the searcher intent doesn't closely match the tool. The established high-intent visitors still click, but the new exposure at positions 15–25 has a cold audience that doesn't click through.
Suggested action
Audit which new queries are driving the impression spike (filter GSC for /tools/key-analyzer this week vs. prior) and check if the page title and meta description speak to those queries.
Consider A/B testing a more benefit-led title tag, e.g. "Free Online Music Key Analyzer — Detect Song Key Instantly" to lift CTR across a wider query set.
