Internet Explorer 9 no CSS

At my work, we're forced into using IE9, I sometimes fire up the online REPL but it looks so bad at IE9, there's not a single styled element. Any reason for that? Or compatibility issues?

I have no idea how to write code on a Windows machine. If someone with Windows wants to volunteer to take a look that'd be fantastic. Otherwise I probably won't ever get to it.
