The DOF is released every 56 days, two days after its currency date, so a daily poll found nothing new on most runs. A Sunday poll finds a release within a week, and the overdue alert (a week past the scheduled release) still gets a poll in time: the first Sunday after release is at most 5 days past it and the next is 12.

Comments still described the old daily polling ("every day", "daily", "quiet day"). They now say "poll", which holds for the new schedule. Report artifacts keep 90 days, longer than any gap between runs, so retention is unchanged.

An unreleased DOF answers the HEAD request with 404 and no Last-Modified header. grep then exits 1, and under set -eo pipefail that aborted the availability step before available=false or the overdue check could be set. Guarding the grep, as SwiftCIFP does, leaves modified empty and lets the step fall through.
