Invalid calibration when using a different floor image in Xiaomi Vacuum Map card #6
I can see that the selected floor is being changed on the Roborock integration, but the invalid calibration error persists even after the select entity updates and reloading the Custom Map integrations. Manually changing the select via the UI in the integration yields the same result.
I've put some thought into the broken as I knew it was a problem going into it
Basically, map logic is relatively computationally expensive compared to everything else. So we do some caching. The actual image is cached to help keep compute time low when a user has multiple maps.
What you can do is load the map, reload the Roborock integration, reload the custom map integration, and hit generate static config for the currently selected map. It will output your calibration points. This isn't ideal as if mapdata/ calibration significantly changes it will lead to problems but it would be a solution.
I'll keep this on my mind and see if I can come up with a solution I like
Did you mean generate room configs? I don't see any calibration points being appended when using generate static config.
Once I've set the predefined_selections for the second floor, going back to the first floor with it's own predefined_selections returns the invalid calibration error, and prevents me from using modes (until I reload the Roborock integration).
I am having problems with this too. The custom image entities lose their calibration points randomly. Reloading/restart/reinstall/install doesn't have any effect.
I was able to go into the history of the images and pull the calibration points. I then manually added them to the card. If your home is completely mapped and rooms defined, you shouldn't need to change it.
Where it says
calibration_source:
camera: true
use the calibration and room points from the image attributes.
Figured out the calibration_points suggestion just as you commented. Thanks for confirming that they exist under attributes.
But yes, it seems like the image entities lose their calibration points based on the selected map. Only the selected map (after integration reload) will have the points.
When I did that, the calibration points switched and were available to the other map but it was the calibration points from the previous. I'm glad you got it working 👍
@Lash-L, is there a way to force an update of the maps? I've flipped a few of my maps 90* in the app, but reloading this and the Roborock integration doesn't force an update.

Maps update on state change or while cleaning. If you start a cleaning and give it a sec it will update. Otherwise, you can also theoretically change the selected map, reload the integrations, and then change back to the one you're interested in
Have the calibration problem with my second floor as well.
And also the orientation of my second map image doesn't update. Even reloading the integration and changing the map within the Roborock App doesn't help here.

You need to change which map is selected, and then the calibration points should exist. Give that a try and let me know how it goes
Potentially:
once it gets the calibration points, it shouldn’t need to do it again until you restart

Hey @Lash-L, thanks for the quick reply.
I'm actually automatically changing the selected map when I load a new preset via:

If you reload the custom map integration do you still see the same effect?

Yup.

I've tried that, and even did a cleaning using the new map. It updated as the robot cleaned, but didn't update the orientation.

@MirkoKas I gave in and just made a new map in the app for the orientation issue.
