Label must have y property — every predefined_selections` label is rejected on HA 2026.8 (card v2.4.1) #44

Since updating Home Assistant to 2026.8, the card no longer renders. It only shows the red error box Label must have y property.

The browser console logs the same message once per predefined_selections entry — I have 11 rooms defined and the error appears exactly 11 times. So it is not a single malformed entry: every label is rejected.

The card worked fine with the exact same configuration before the Home Assistant update. The card itself was not updated (v2.4.1, installed ~2 months ago, still the latest release).

Configuration

Every one of my 11 selections follows the documented format and has text, x and y. Example:

What I tried

So the trigger is the presence of a label object, not one of its properties. offset_y is not the cause.

Workaround

Removing all label: blocks restores the card. Room names are no longer drawn on the map, but zone selection and cleaning still work.
