Is there likely to be a fix for this anytime soon do we think?

I'm not happy skipping the publisher check because there is an unquantified risk with what has been uploaded.

Even trying to force the previous version seems fraught with gotcha's.

Is this officially raised as an issue with Microsoft?

Siva (@SGarlapatiatma) Andy Walker (@iolalimited) Please update PowerShellGet and PackageManagement to the latest stable version: https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/PowerShellGet/2.2.5 https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/PackageManagement/1.4.8.1.

If you have any issues with bootstrapping the NuGet provider please see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/gallery/how-to/getting-support/bootstrapping-nuget?view=powershellget-2.x

If possible. it's better to switch to PSResourceGet, which is the module we're actively developing to completely replace PowerShellGet: https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/Microsoft.PowerShell.PSResourceGet/1.2.0-rc3

alerickson Sorry, I don't quite follow.

I'm using a hosted Windows Agent to install PS Modules and deploy PBI reports to a workspace. The PS that is failing is:-
Install-Module -Name MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt -Verbose -Scope CurrentUser -Force -AllowClobber

    The agent is Windows 2025:-
    2026-02-27T14:27:46.5044097Z Microsoft Windows Server 2025
    2026-02-27T14:27:46.5044239Z 10.0.26100

    The PS Version is 2.268.1:-

    2026-02-27T14:27:55.9739532Z Version : 2.268.1

But the Install-Module is throwing an authenticode signature error:-

    @Sujai-Sparks

Hi, unfortunately, after using the "-SkipPublisherCheck", I see the new MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt version 1.3.80 is getting installed, but the Connect-PowerBIServiceAccount cmdlet is failing to login to PowerBI service :(

    Any help please?

    I'm getting the following error:

Has MSFT ack'ed this issue? Is there any ETA on a resolution?

    I found the workaround below:

    - task: PowerShell@2 displayName: 'Install PowerBIMgmt via PSResourceGet' inputs: targetType: 'inline' pwsh: true script: | $ErrorActionPreference = 'Stop' [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12 Install-PSResource -Name MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt -Version '1.3.83' -Scope CurrentUser -TrustRepository -Repository PSGallery Import-Module MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt -Force Get-Module MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt* -ListAvailable | Format-Table Name, Version
