Summary of the new document

A practical PowerShell 7 walkthrough for returning clear results from commands used as agent tools.

Details of requested document:

  • Are you offering to write the post [Y/N]: Y, if the topic fits.
  • Proposed title: Structured PowerShell results for agent tools
  • Links to related posts: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/powershell-community/ - the existing text-summarization post is adjacent context.
  • Description of the problem/scenario/question you want covered: The planned example would wrap a small read-only backend check, emit a JSON result, and keep diagnostic output separate. It would demonstrate a successful result, an invalid argument and a failed command, with explicit exit status and a short caller-side check. Readers would see how to give an agent a bounded command instead of asking it to interpret arbitrary console text.

I work on AI agents and backend systems. This is a proposed local lab, not a completed deployment. Would this fit the community blog before I build the example and draft?
