Problem
When an Apple ID has Contact Key Verification (CKV) enabled or requires hardware Secure Enclave attestation, registration with IDS fails with error
6004.Currently, this is formatted as:
This generic message suggests a transient error and leads users to wait through an infinite 300-second retry loop that will never succeed on that account without disabling CKV or using supported hardware.
Solution
Update the display message for
6004to explain the actual requirement:This matches the diagnostic style of error
6001and immediately informs the user why registration cannot proceed.
