Here is the process I used using XCODE. It is a summary from Claude detailing the process. Follow it thoroughly and it works. I would first upgrade all your softwares and then proceed as follows:

Loop Watch app won't install from a Mac/Xcode build ("Install" button bounces back, or "integrity could not be verified") — fix when Xcode doesn't detect the Apple Watch

Setup: Mac/Xcode build (Xcode 27), iPhone 14 on iOS 27, Apple Watch SE 2 on watchOS 26.6 (not eligible for watchOS 27). Loop built and ran fine on the iPhone, but the Watch app refused to install. Xcode's Devices window showed the iPhone but never the watch, so the watch was never registered in the developer account and the signing profile didn't include it.

    Step 1 – Get the watch's UDID
The watch UDID isn't shown anywhere in the regular settings. Since Xcode wouldn't detect the watch, I pulled it from a sysdiagnose:

    1. On the watch, hold the Digital Crown + side button together for ~1 second (short vibration).
    2. Wait 10–15 min. On the iPhone: Watch app → General → Diagnostic Logs → a sysdiagnose_…Watch.tar.gz file appears.
    3. Share it to the Mac (AirDrop), double-click to extract.
    4. Open remotectl_dumpstate.txt and search for UniqueDeviceID. The watch UDID looks like 00008xxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Step 2 – Register the watch
developer.apple.com → Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles → Devices → + → Platform: watchOS → paste the UDID. It should appear with type "Apple Watch".

Step 3 – Force Xcode to regenerate profiles (this was the key step)
Even after registration, Xcode kept using a cached profile without the watch. Quit Xcode and run in Terminal:

    rm -rf ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/UserData/Provisioning\ Profiles/*
    rm -rf ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning\ Profiles/*
    rm -rf ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData

    Step 4 – Rebuild

    1. Reopen LoopWorkspace.
    2. For targets WatchApp, WatchApp Extension and Loop: Signing & Capabilities → uncheck/recheck "Automatically manage signing" and wait for the profile to refresh.
    3. Delete Loop from the iPhone.
    4. iPhone plugged in and unlocked. Scheme LoopWorkspace, destination = your iPhone, then Run (⌘R). A full rebuild takes 10–20 min. Loop launches by itself on the iPhone when done.

Step 5 – Verify the build includes the watch before trying to install

    for f in $(find ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData -path "*Debug-iphoneos/Loop.app/Watch/WatchApp.app/embedded.mobileprovision" 2>/dev/null); do echo "== $f"; security cms -D -i "$f" 2>/dev/null | grep -c "YOUR-WATCH-UDID"; done

It should print 1. If 0, the profile still doesn't include the watch; go back to Step 3.

Step 6 – Install Loop on the Apple Watch and enable Developer Mode
The Watch app is already inside the Loop build on the iPhone; it just needs to be pushed to the watch. The Mac is no longer needed from here.

    A. Push the app to the watch

    1. Watch on your wrist and unlocked, next to the iPhone. Bluetooth on, Airplane Mode off on the iPhone.
    2. On the iPhone, open the Watch app → My Watch tab.
    3. Scroll down to Available Apps. Loop is listed with an Install button.
    4. Tap Install. The button turns into a progress ring and, after about a minute, Loop moves up to the Installed on Apple Watch section.

    B. Enable Developer Mode on the watch (the watch prompts you)
    5. Once the install completes, the watch displays a message saying the app requires Developer Mode to be enabled. Up to this point, the Developer Mode option did not exist in the watch's settings; it only appears after a developer-signed app has been installed.
    6. On the watch, open Settings (gear icon) → Privacy & Security → scroll to the bottom → Developer Mode. The toggle is now visible.
    7. Turn the toggle on. The watch asks to restart; confirm.
    8. Wait for the watch to reboot (about a minute), then unlock it. It may ask one more time to confirm enabling Developer Mode; tap Turn On.

    C. Confirm
    9. Press the Digital Crown to see the app list; the Loop icon is there. Open it once to check it launches and shows the Loop screen.
    10. Loop's complications can then be added to a watch face as usual.

If Install bounces back to "Install" with no message, or the watch shows "Loop could not be installed because its integrity could not be verified", the signing profile doesn't include the watch. Don't keep tapping Install; go back to Step 5 and check the output.

    Notes

    • Order matters: fix the signing profile first (Steps 1–5), then install, and only then does the watch offer Developer Mode. Looking for the Developer Mode toggle before a successful install is a dead end on this setup.
    • A watch that's no longer eligible for the current watchOS is fine as long as the Xcode build still supports its watchOS version.
    • If you'd rather avoid all this, Build with Browser/TestFlight sidesteps device registration entirely.
