background--dark not applied on custom text blocks #966

Description

@foucdeg

LinkStack version

4.8.4

Description

On custom text blocks, the color cannot be edited, and the default color class background--dark based on the background is not applied.

On my dark background website, this makes the text block text unreadable, while the page title and description are white.

    There is already a fix merged in #985, but it went into beta, not main. I checked the current branches: beta has dynamic-contrast on resources/views/components/pageitems/text-display.blade.php; main still renders the custom text block from blocks/text/display.blade.php without that class.

    The latest published release is still v4.8.6 (February 17, 2026), which predates that July 21 merge. So the merged PR alone does not mean the fix is available in the current stable release.

    Would a small corresponding fix for the main block template be welcome, or should this stay pending the beta release? I haven't opened a duplicate PR or verified a running deployment yet.
